The aim of the redesign of the BMK marina, for which the architecture and design office blocher partners was responsible, was to raise the already high quality of the place to a new level. The building presents itself as a solitaire of bricks, steel windows and exposed concrete, modelled on an old industrial building. Materials such as wood and steel form a symbiosis with an interior design reminiscent of luxurious East Coast lofts.

The timeless yet modern wayfinding system that the communication experts at typenraum developed for the premises emphasises the exclusive ambience of the marina. It relies on a delicate typographic solution with 3D letters made of Corian, which fully unfold their subtle effect in combination with the exposed concrete walls. The sans serif font blends discreetly into the purist architecture. The signage system helps visitors to find their way around effortlessly. Another element that emphasises the service concept of the marina.
